Springboard needs to establish a connection to the model objects so that data can be linked between model objects and O&M manuals.
Springboard will deliver the COBie data so there is no requirement to add COBie data to the model objects or asset registers.
Note: All Field Values for both single or group assets must be unique and not duplicated.
3D Model Object Data
All model objects must be consistently named and data placed in the same field in all objects.
The Revit Object Field Name and Springboard O&M Field Name must match exactly. These Names are usually the Designers or Clients reference used throughout the project documentation to denote the equipment/materials.
To ensure this, a data connection needs to be established between the model object and Springboard.
Examples
The naming and numbering convention are examples and should follow the designers naming and numbering conventions. These should be consistently used by all content providers - sub-contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, commissioning teams.
- Unique Asset (Component) - A quantity of 1. e.g. Door, AHU, Distribution Board
- Group Asset (Type) - A quantity of >1. e.g. Walls, Partitions, Valves, Luminaires
- Model Link to Springboard - connects models to O&M's. (push/pull data from models)
In this example the model object will connect to Springboard. If the SPR_ModelLink is set to Blank or No then data will not be linked between the model and Springboard.
Once this link is established the Springboard O&M can be set up to enable the remainder of the information to be added, validated and exported to COBie, Asset Register or CAFM system.
