The majority of file sharing or CDE (Common Data Environments) software platforms use Files to store information with meta-data containers (ref, description, revision, status, upload date etc) to store information about the files.

Edocuments Platform it is primarily designed as a "data first" system with file management capabilities.

"Data First" means that data is shared across many documents and views e.g. Asset Registers , PPM Maintenance Schedules, Literature Summaries. Data can also be connected and linked to other databases and 3D models via API's.

  • Every event is recorded to provide a full audit trail.
  • BIM and COBie export as standard.

Edocuments platform can efficiently store, display, link and export all information. This reduces the time and effort in the management and delivery of information and increases accuracy.

Edocuments platform is an on line cloud based system to store and host information for the built environment. It provides an integrated document viewer, search engine and auto generated multiple views of information.

The system is fully data driven enabling the information to be shared with other data driven systems and provides:

  1. A central point for data input and verification, providing an audit trail.
  2. Ability to export data directly into other systems preventing the need for re-entry of data.
  3. A controlled method for managing changes to asset information.
