3. Adding Maintenance (Literature Linked) - do not use

To create literature file links containing maintenance recommendations, you will need to access the Equipment & Materials section.

 

Click the View/Edit Details button in the Equipment & Materials Schedule view.

Once the literature file has been added, click the MANAGE button in the FILES modal. The number listed next to the MANAGE button indicates how many linked procedures are contained within the file.

Populate the link with all the relevant information. 

 

System/Type: Add the name of the item related to the piece of literature.

 

Action: By default, it will reference "maintain" but you can pick from the following if you want to be more specific. Check, Change, Clean, Lubricate, Maintain (default), Measure, Operate, Inspect, Remove, Replace, Service, Test, Tighten, Verify.

 

Page Range From: - input the page range (for a single page enter the same page number in both cells) to ensure that the link opens on the correct page in multi-page literature files. This takes the user to the exact page in the document without needing to scroll. 

 

Note: The page number must be the actual page count and not the page number typically found in the index or at the footer of a page. 

 

Description:  You can create a single reference to the whole procedure and add multiple frequencies, which will appear as a single-line summary in the PPM (planned preventative maintenance) summary schedule.

 

OR

 

Add multiple references and frequencies, which will appear as multi-line summaries in the PPM (planned preventative maintenance) summary schedule.

 

Build new frequency: Add a numeric value and pick the unit: Day, Week, Month, Runtime hour, Operation, As Required.

 

Notes: add any related information.

 

These row(s) appear in the PPM summary schedule and when the link is Clicked, it will open the exact page of the file referenced here.

 

There is also the ability to add resources for each task, which can then be exported: Labour, Materials, Tools, Training.
