Typically consists of lists for system certificates and drawings.
The easiest way to upload a single file in a Files List is to add a row, use the drag and drop function or upload using the file manager.
Once done, the metadata can be competed as detailed within the Introduction to metadata.
Note: The file reference and description columns will automatically populate with the file name, for guidance click here. This must be changed to follow the metadata guidance within the Introduction to metadata.
There are advance files tools which provide details of File Storage and Management.
To access the Files lists editor
- Click on the PENCIL icon

The files list editor also tools, including bulk file upload tools as detailed in Fig 02 below.
- Add File(s) - opens a modal with bulk file upload tools. (See Fig 03)
- Tools - this button may not appear for some users as it has the same set as features as Item 4.
- Add Single Row - Click the ADD SINGLE ROW button to add a blank row
- Right click on the new row to display the following features:
- UPLOAD - appears only when a file is required. Either drag and drop or search for your file
- ALTER TEXT
- LINKING
- Autolink - (Looks for the latest version of a file by Ref, Description, Revision that is already uploaded elsewhere in the document, and provides a selectable grid view of candidate files.)
- Unlink - unlinks the file and changes state to awaiting.
- Relink - replaces the currently linked file with a replacement version.
- TOOLS
- Download - downloads the current selected file or rows or files
- Issue Sheet - downloads a spreadsheet version of the file meta data.
- Move - move the file to another section within the document.
- Disable Viewer - by default the file viewer is opens in Springboard, this can be changed to open in the default browser viewer.
- Edit Company - changes the author company
- COPY
- Copy - copies the selected row data to clipboard
- Copy with headers - copies the column heads and data to clipboard
- MAINTENANCE - add file maintenance link (this only appears if a file has been linked)
- DELETE - delete the selected rows
- UPDATE - save changes and close

Files Button
- Select a file type from dropdown list
- Start typing to search company name or add new
- Select the Upload Files button, add files and add
Blank Rows Button
- Select a file type from dropdown list
- Start typing to search company name or add new
- Type in number of blank rows, select Add Rows button
Import Files List Button
- Prepare a spreadsheet with File Ref, File Description, Rev etc.
- Select a file type from dropdown list
- Select and copy (Ctrl+C) the spreasheet columns and paste (Ctrl+V) into the input box
- Select Add Rows button
Existing Button
- Start typing to search files already uploaded to this document, using the file reference or fields description fields
- From the grid view of candidate files, select and add the file link to this list

Note: Once a file is uploaded, by default, it will add the file name into the Reference and Description Columns. This will need changing to add the correct metadata.
